Welcome to Open University's Nature of Britain Breathing Places wiki! This wiki is set up to document the progress of the Open University's
'Breathing Places - make space for nature' project
which is part of the BBC's 'Breathing Places' Learning Capaign, to find out more about this click on the following link:
Breathing Places
The aim of the project is to choose a site and to improve it to make space for our British wildlife. The site we have chosen is the Open University's Oxford Campus, which is called Foxcombe Hall.
A team of 8 academics together with the Estate's Manager have selected the site and over the next few months we will assess the site and decide on what action to take. You can follow our progress on this wiki, it may even inspire you to start your own 'Breathing Places - make space for nature' project.
If you want to find out more about what we have already done as part of the 'Breathing Places' campaign - you can go to
Open2.net
Here is the intrepid team of acadmics who will be carrying out the work at Foxcombe Hall, you can find out all about us on 'meet the academic team' and catch-up with what we've been up to on our blogs.
